Hartmann Omnistrip Adhesive Wound Closure Strips 6x76mm
Directions
Directions for Use: 1. Clean the wound: Thoroughly clean the wound with mild soap and water. Rinse well and gently pat dry. 2. Ensure dry skin: Make sure the skin around the wound is completely dry before applying the strips. 3. Position the strip: Carefully position the strip across the wound, bringing the edges of the wound together without overlapping the skin too much. Do not stretch the strip. 4. Apply the strip: Starting from the center of the strip, gently press down on each side to adhere it to the skin. Avoid touching the adhesive part of the strip. 5. Apply additional strips: If needed, apply additional strips parallel to the first one, spacing them about 1/8 inch (3mm) apart. Ensure wound edges are closed. 6. Smooth the strips: Gently smooth down the edges of each strip to ensure a good seal. Recommended Frequency: Leave the strips in place until they fall off naturally, typically within 5-10 days. Do not attempt to remove them prematurely. If a strip becomes loose or dirty, replace it with a new one. Additional Tips: 1. Do not apply the strips to infected wounds. Seek medical advice. 2. Avoid using lotions, creams, or ointments on the wound area while the strips are in place, unless directed by a healthcare professional. 3. Keep the wound area dry. Cover the strips with a waterproof bandage if necessary, especially when showering or bathing. 4. If the wound shows signs of infection (increased redness, swelling, pain, or pus), consult a healthcare professional immediately. 5. These strips are suitable for minor cuts and lacerations. For deeper wounds, or wounds that are bleeding heavily, seek medical attention.
