Bsn Medical Leukoplast Wound Closure Strip 12x100mm 2x6U
Directions
Directions for Use: 1. Clean and dry the wound thoroughly. Ensure the skin surrounding the wound is free from any creams, lotions, or oils. 2. If bleeding persists, apply pressure until it stops. 3. Gently bring the edges of the wound together. 4. Peel a Leukoplast Wound Closure Strip from its backing, avoiding touching the adhesive part. 5. Apply the strip across the wound, perpendicular to the direction of the cut, ensuring the wound edges are held firmly together. 6. Apply additional strips, spaced approximately 2-3mm apart, as needed to close the entire wound. 7. Smooth down each strip to ensure good adhesion. Recommended Frequency: Leukoplast Wound Closure Strips should be left in place until they naturally fall off, typically within 5-10 days. Do not attempt to remove them prematurely. If the strip becomes wet or dirty, it can be replaced with a new one. Additional Tips: 1. For best results, apply the strips to clean, dry skin. 2. Do not stretch the strips during application, as this may cause tension and discomfort. 3. Avoid applying the strips to areas with high mobility, such as joints, as this may reduce their effectiveness. 4. If the wound shows signs of infection (increased pain, redness, swelling, or pus), consult a healthcare professional immediately. 5. These strips are suitable for minor cuts and lacerations. For deep or heavily bleeding wounds, seek medical attention. 6. Keep the wound area clean and dry while the strips are in place. 7. Avoid using harsh soaps or cleansers around the wound area. 8. Protect the wound from direct sunlight.
